Herpes, cyst, or what?

About 7 months ago I had bumps on my groin and and almost all of my body itched. I was first diagnosed with scabies and neither of the two treatments made much of a difference that I could see. I was then diagnosed with by a blood test. The test came back positive, but I was told that the test could just mean that I was exposed due to the low level of antibodies. I was given a treatment for it. This also didn't do anything in the timeline the doctor gave me. The problem with this diagnosis is that both myself and the girl I had with were both virgins. Never the less, after a while, the bumps and itching went away by themselves. Just recently a much larger bump formed that was painful to the touch and hurt at random times unlike the previous bumps. A doctor diagnosed it as an infected cyst but the itching has started to come back. Does anyone have any idea what this could all be?
