Why do people misjudge muslims and call them terrorists?

The problem is clear. It is rare for Muslims to disown or convict terrorism in the name of Islam, particularly in public. This is an anonymous forum, and yours is the first post by a Muslim (I'm uming you are a Muslim) I've seen that is looking in that direction. I have NEVER seen any public statement from any Muslim condemning such actions. Note that I'm not saying it hasn't happened, but it is clearly rare. This is why people think all Muslims think the same-because you make little attempt to distance this terrorism from Islam as a whole.
